This competition was started by Arnaud Marmier in 2001 and is now named in memory of Alan Neill, a vital member of the gaming community in Belfast and Ireland. It has always been held as part of the Q-Con games convention (http://www.q-con.org.uk/) and is traditionally on the last full weekend in June. The format has typically been a 2-day, 4-round, open event.
