Format:
There will be 2 competitions, both 5 rounds (1 Fri night, 2 Sat, 2 Sun):
- DBMM 400AP Open Lists
- FOG 800AP Open lists
These competitions are primarily individual events and open to all players. In addition to the individual events and prizes there will be two team events which are based on the sum of the individual scores of the three players in each team.

  • Any army list published at least 6 weeks prior to the event will be allowed.
  • For the traditional 3-person team prizes: a team must have 1 player in each competition and the 3rd player may be in either comp.
  • All games will be 3.5 hours +/- 15 mins as determined by the umpire.
  • Players must supply their own terrain, base-mats will be provided.
  • The first round draw will be random and swiss after that. As far as possible, no players from the same country will be drawn against each other in the first two rounds.
  • In the case of tied scores for podium positions, then the first tie-break will be scores in a mutual game and then sum of opponent's scores and finally random.
  • No travelling player will be asked to take a bye.
  • By entering the competition you agree to abide by the rules and rulings of the umpire and organisers.

  • The current version of the DBMM Commentary will be used (available at http://www.dbmm.org.uk)
  • DBMM Army List Books 2 and 3 may be used.
Book 4 will be the DBM v.2 Army Lists (as modified by the appendices of the DBMM rules). – only Byzantine, Chinese and Mongol armies can have regular baggage. All others converted from the DBM army list books may have irregular (O) or (I) baggage except that armies that are completely mounted (including mounted infantry) can have irregular (F).

The qualifying draft for Book 1 will be the latest DBMM draft as of 23:59 GMT on March 18th. Please do not submit any Book 1 lists prior to that date as they may subsequently be invalid. Phil Barker has kindly agreed to keep a copy in the Yahoo files (see http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/DBMMlist/files/ ) and will ensure as a worst case that the umpire/list checker will have a copy so mail them via the contact form if you have any difficulties.

    FOG Specific Rules

  • The rules to be used are the published Field of Glory rules, together with any official clarifications appearing on the Field of Glory website
  • Army list books 1-8 are allowed.
  • Army lists must specify the number and size of battle groups and the order of march for deployment. They should also include the territory list for the army.

    Team Event Rules
There are two team events, the "Independent Team" event is open to all and trophies will be awarded to the highest scoring team, the "Celtic Cup" team event is only open to teams from the "celtic nations" of Scotland, The Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales and Brittany. There is a perpetual trophy awarded to the winning team in the Celtic Cup event.
