Competition Information

Table sizes are 6' x 4'.

Measurement is by imperial (in inches).

Players must be present and ready to start each match at the appointed time. Where players have a reasonable reason for arriving late the match start will be delayed for up to 30 minutes. After this period has elapsed the affected player will be awarded a bye and maximum points.

If a player resigns from a game at any stage after the first set up dice have been rolled, their opponent will be awarded maximum points.

Players are expected to exchange their deployment plan and ambush details at the end of each match, these to be returned after inspection. For this reason it is important that players ensure that plans and ambush details are explicit (guidance is available within the BHGS fair play guidelines). Players should note that deployment and ambushes details will be actively umpired for the duration of the competition and that umpires may require sight of such plans.

To discourage slow play it is expected that games should achieve a minimum of 12 pairs of bounds and that deployment should not exceed 30 minutes.

Matches will continue until the end of the defenders turn in the current pair of bounds when time is called. Time will be called after 3 and a quarter hours plus a 1 - 15 minute random factor. The random element will be determined by the umpire prior to the start of the round and will not be revealed until the announcement is made.

Blitz moves as defined in the BHGS web site will be played.

The cost of an allied general may be reduced by 10 points if regular and 5 points if irregular if this has not already been altered on the army lists.

Players must fully define their troops as they are placed on table.

Player must share the dice provided by the invader unless both players agree otherwise.

Scoring will be per BHGS with a maximum of 32 points and a minimum of 0 per game.

Space considerations limit us to 36 entrants. Places will be filled on a first come, first served basis with the proviso that 15 places will be reserved for regional teams which have intimated their wish to compete.

List Checking

The list checker for the competition is ;

Matt Haywood (warfareeast@tiscali.co.uk)
NB typo in email address fixed 30/3/07

Army lists must clearly indicate player name and allocate all elements including baggage to a command. They must specify raw elements, element equivalents, command and army demoralisation levels. They must also indicate any double based elements, the climate, aggression factor, geographical region and general where relevant.

Baggage elements require to be listed as mobile or immobile.

The total points value of the army must not exceed 400 points.

Lists must be supplied to Matt no later than Friday 6th April 2007. Failure to do so may result in a deduction of points.
