On the 4th of May 2002 a DBM competition was organised by Richard Aynsley near Macroom in Co. Cork. This page contains some images of the day and the final results of the competition.
There was an excellent turn out of players (13 + non-playing umpire) for this event (including several new faces) which was held in the peaceful majesty of the hills around Macroon in Co. Cork. Hopefully this will encourage other pockets of DBM players around the country to "risk" hosting events outside of Dublin and Belfast. People are definitely willing to travel for DBM!
This was a 1-day, 3-round 400AP open event using 0-10 scoring with +100VP for a win. We were lucky with the weather and our host Richard put on an amazing spread of food and entertainment ("you bring the beer, I supply the food"). Everyone had a great time and the games all proceeded smoothly.
