DBMM V2 Rulings

  • All elements of an unreliable command become shaken rather than disheartened.
  • Night attacks are a choice of the side deploying second (i.e. most likely to be the invader)
  • Baggage commands do not have a PIP die
  • Baggage from allied contingents that can only be included in an army baggage command if the allied contingent is commanded by a sub-general.

    General Rules
    # The rules used will be DBMM v2.0 (it is shipping from Monarch Publications and anything still relevant from the 31st of March 2009 version of the DBMM Commentary.

    # Tables will be 120cm x 80cm.
    # The decisions of the umpire are final.
    # Games will be 2.5 hours +/- 7 minutes in duration. The exact time will be secretly determined by the umpire.
    # Games will end immediately (whistle stop) when the umpire calls time. Roll no more dice, move no more troops and proceed to the end of the bound evaluation of commands breaking/disheartening etc and then calculate the scores,
    # If both players agree then the weather and time of day rules may be ignored.
    # There will be a non-playing umpire who will only play against the bottom of the draw if there is an uneven number of players.

  • In the case of a draw in VP for a place on the podium, players will be separated by result in a common game, then by sum of opponents scores, then by maximum number of 25-0 results, then by the drawing of lots.
  • The draw will be a seeded swiss based on the current DBMM glicko ratings (http://www.dbmm.org.uk/rankings/). As far as possible, no players from the same region will be drawn against each other in the first round.
  • No traveling player will be asked to take a bye.

    200AP Open Rules
    # Armies must be 200AP or less.
    # Armies can be from the DBMM Lists Bk1-3 and the draft Bk4 army lists available on 30th June 2010 (see link below, after that date).
    # Basemats will be provided, players must supply their own terrain.

    Theme Rules

  • The preset terrain maps are illustrated in the attached image
  • The theme will be limited to a maximum of 8 players on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • The defender can pick his home board edge.
  • DBM200 deployment rules will be used (deployment distances from edges etc).
