Field of Glory Competition
26th & 27th June 2010
Field of Glory is designed to allow players to recreate Ancient & Medieval battles using realistic battlefield deployment, manoeuvring and tactics.
Armies - 800 Points from any army list, with the following conditions.
a.All armies must use a minimum of 8 mounted knights and these may not dismount during the game
b.if using an allied command then use a minimum of 4 mounted knights
c.if using Swiss there must be more halberd armed infantry than pikemen
we had a nice 1-day DBMM event today in Dublin, as always it was tight at
the top! 3 rounds of 325AP on 120x80cm tables

This years theme will be “Armies and Enemies of Christendom from Attila to Alp Arslan”. All armies to be chosen within the date range of 451AD-1071AD

UWS have decided on the usual three rounds, using "starter" armies only (600 points) from "Rise of Rome", PLUS the allowable lists shown on page 70 of the book AND the allowable lists for that theme from "Lost Scrolls".
starting at 10:00.
Armies will be 600 AP on 4'x3' tables using standard rules, except for terrain selection. Terrain will be pre-set with the player winning the initiative choosing the table side they wish to sit at. In general, terrain will be open with little, if any, rough or difficult going.
