Where: Belfast Boat Club When: 13th-14th November Contact: Tim Snoddy Cost: £2 for one day, £4 for two days (£3 for TTN members) What's Happening: This event is a Hordes of the Things campaign. Tired of the DBM competition circuit? Fed up never having the right army or being able to remember all the rules. Now is your chance to take part in some more light hearted gaming. This is your chance to control those epic fantasy battles of literature and screen. Thousands of Orcs, Elves, Lizardmen and Humans will take to the field. The Big Game VI involves four nations fighting for mastery in a fantasy world. A strategic map is used for the movement of armies and when a battle occurs it is played out using Hordes of the Things 2nd edition rules. The object of the game is to score the most victory points by capturing strategic hexes. Hordes of the Things rules allow fast and furious battles with colourful fantasy troop types. Units are classified by fighting style like DBM. Thus there are the usual suspects of blades, warbands, knights, etc but also wizards, behemoths and heroes. Unit types are very well balanced so there are no unstoppable super units or all-powerful spells. This years Big Game will be held on Saturday the 13th and Sunday the 14th of November and is a joint venture of RINIWA and TTN and held at TTN’s luxurious venue of the Belfast Boat Club.
