The games shop formerly known as "Models Inc" of Dorset St has moved premises to Jervis St and been re-named "Gamers World".
Martin Kenny, the proprietor, is delighted with his brand new
premises and has encouraged everyone to pay a visit.

Dublin Games Guild (http://iworg.com/dgg) continues to meet in the shop's playing area each Wednesday night.

Hi All,

I was just calculating the RINIWA (Ireland) Player of the Year league for 2008 (we're a bit late, oops) and I noticed some interesting stats: the introduction of DBMM and FOG have been good for us in terms of overall player numbers.

In 2007, we had 34 local players participating in our events (DBM only). This represented a drop-off from the height of
DBM here which would have been circa 45-50 active players.

In 2008, where we ran a mix of DBM (until June), DBMM and FOG (both from July) events we had a total of 46 local players participating.

in DBM, FOG and DBMM, the 2008 Player of the Year is:

The max score under this system is 100, it is based on
your best 4 competition results during the year. Two
events were not included: Quads 08 (no data available)
and DGG Winter League 08/09 (as it straddles the
year-end it is hard to include in a fair way under this
system).
